The Literati Book Fair is coming back to Clemson Elementary the week after Spring Break! The Book Fair brings a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every interest and reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits as they run wild with reading! SCHEDULE Monday, April 8: 7:30am-3:00pm Tuesday, April 9: 7:30am-3:00pm Wednesday, April 10: 7:30am-3:00pm Thursday, April 11: 7:30am-3:00pm Friday, April 12: 7:30am-12:00pm All adults shopping at the Book Fair must check in at the office. During school hours, please park in the front parking lot and enter through the office. If you are shopping after school and your child is a car rider at dismissal, please pick up your child in the car line, park in the front parking lot, and enter through the office. MULTIPLE WAYS TO PAY * Book Fair Gift Cards- Digital gift cards are an easy payment method that won’t get lost in a backpack. Use any leftover amounts online or at your next Literati Book Fair. They also make great gifts for teachers! Students in grades 3-5 will be administered SC Ready assessments beginning April 18th. SC Ready is a state-wide assessment program in ELA and Math for grades 3-5 and Science for grade 4 only. All students will also participate in a field test this year for writing. As a reminder, personal electronic devices (including smart watches) are not allowed during testing. Please ensure that students arrive on time, get plenty of rest, and eat a healthy breakfast. Please try to schedule upcoming appointments outside of the testing window.

We will be hosting two Future Tiger Days for our new 5K students. Fourth and fifth grade students in Mrs. Young's Physical Education Class have been participating in the Wheels to Wellness Clinic. The purpose of the program is to teach students the importance of bicycle safety. The students have been learning the proper way to wear a helmet, adjusting a bike to fit them, using the correct communication while riding solo or in a group, as well as some fun yet challenging activities to test their skills on a bike.
