YMCA Mentorship - Pickens County School

Y Mentor

We are excited to announce this new program! We are calling on individuals in the community to sacrifice just 30 minutes per week during the school year to transform the life of a child/teen.  We believe positive life change happens through one on one relationships and mentoring is the way to do it!

If you are even the slightest bit interested in being a mentor, all we ask is for 2 hours of your time.  The training, Mentoring 101, serves two purposes.  First, it is a way for you to learn more about being a mentor.  By attending a training, you are NOT committing to being a mentor. Secondly, if you have already decided that you want to be a mentor, this is the training you need to attend.  You can go ahead and apply to be a mentor AND register for a training at the same time.

Please do not sit back and think, "Someone else will mentor, I am not needed." Or do not think, "I would not be good at this, someone needs to do it."  This is a community effort and we need YOU!
