Kindergarten
The progress of students will be based on a district/state defined checklist of standards using 3 levels. These three levels will provide consistency with the state assessment instrument. The three levels are:

* Skill Developing
- Skill Needs Improvement
Grade 1 - 2
The progress of students in reading/language arts, math, science/social studies will be based on a district/state defined checklist of first grade standards. These three levels will provide consistency with the state assessment instrument. The three levels are:
C Consistently Demonstrates
ST Sometimes Demonstrates
R Rarely or Never Demonstrates
A work habits section will be on the report card that will also be graded with C, ST, or R.
Grades 3 - 5
The state defined numerical grading scale that will be used on report cards is:
A 100 - 90
B 89 - 80
C 79 - 70
D 69 - 60
F 59 and below
A general conduct grade will be given, using only S (satisfactory), N (needs improvement) or U (unsatisfactory).
In General
Physical Education, Art, and Music will be evaluated on participation using:
E Excellent
S Satisfactory
U Unsatisfactory
Parents are encouraged to personally discuss their child's progress by contacting their child's teacher for a conference. Conferences will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
